Our farmers market events and activities aim to create connections between you, our farmers, and your neighbors, all while learning about delicious, locally grown food.

Join Us for a Fun-Filled Trivia Night at The College Inn Pub!

Put your trivia skills to the test and support our year-round farmers markets all in one exciting evening! Trivia Night at The College Inn Pub is happening on November 18, and it’s the perfect way to show your love for local farmers while enjoying some friendly competition.

Your participation helps sustain markets like the University District Farmers Market, creating reliable income for Washington farmers and producers throughout the year. Come out for a night of great fun, prizes, and community spirit!

  • Registration: 5:30 PM | Trivia: 6:00–8:00 PM

  • Cost: $15 Early Admission (per person) | $20 at the door

  •  (Get your tickets by Sunday, November 17 for the discounted rate!)

  • Accessibility: Accessible via light rail or bus. Please note, the trivia room is in the basement, accessible by 21 steps (no elevator available).

Applelooza

Applelooza is winding down! Only two more to go. It’s the most delicious and abundant apple tasting event of the season! You’ll experience quintessential fall flavors and colors as only Washington State can deliver - come sample a variety of local apples and vote for your favorite ones! Did you know our state is the number one producer of apples in the entire U.S? How do you like them apples?

Cooking Demos

With so many incredible Seattle chefs sourcing from local Washington farmers, it only makes sense that they should show us how it's done! Local cooking schools, renowned cookbook authors, chefs, and many others have shared their talents at the markets for your benefit. Our market farmers and food artisans have also shown us delicious ways to use local ingredients.

Cooking Demo and Book Signing with Rachel Belle

Join us at the Magnolia Farmers Market Holiday Harvest Market on November 23 starting at 10am for a cooking demo and book signing with author Rachel Belle for her new book Open Sesame, 45 Sweet & Savory Recipes for Tahini & All Things Sesame. Come grab a snack and say hello!

Or, for a last minute holiday gift, you can snag her book at the University District Farmers Market cooking demo on December 21, starting at 9am.

Harvest & Holiday Markets

Our seasonal Farmers Markets are popping up again later in the fall, so you can stock up on all your favorite farm essentials before holiday feasts! Squash, apples, pears, potatoes, hearty greens, baked goods and other unique seasonal produce and products - you'll have a cornucopia of delicious options for cozy fall meals. These special Harvest Markets take place in our regular market locations, unless stated otherwise.

2024 Harvest & Holiday Markets:

  • November 2 - Lake City Harvest Market, 10am - 2pm, Saturday

  • November 11 - Columbia City Second Saturday Market, 10am - 2pm (continues monthly on every second Saturday through April)

  • November 22 - Phinney Harvest Market, Friday 3 - 7pm

  • November 23 - Magnolia Harvest Market, Saturday 10am - 2pm

  • December 7 - Magnolia Holiday Market, Saturday 10am - 2pm

Cherry Pit Spit

Taste the cherry and spit the pit for distance. Prizes available for accuracy! Start time is one hour after the market opens, and running time is two hours.

Check back in July of 2025!

Zucchini 500

The Annual Zucchini 500 Races are some of the only events in Seattle where playing with your food is a requirement! The events feature zucchini roadsters handcrafted by young racers complete with wheels and fabulous decorations.

Kids of all ages are invited to join the fun and create their very own vegetable vehicle to send down the racing ramp. All materials for your speedy creation are supplied free-of-charge.
