Behind the Sound Transit construction wall is a big hole in the earth. We know what is going in- a new Sound Transit Station. But what is coming out? What do we imagine is under the earth we stand on? What if we found fossilized remains of unknown creatures or past civilizations? Let's awaken the public imagination, in the spirit of a young child playing in the mud. Let's imagine another world down in the hole.

MAKE YOUR OWN FOSSIL!

Join in a family friendly art activity at the U-District Farmers Market.  We will provide dirt from the bottom of the pit where the light rail station is being built, mixed with clay, to make our own “fossils”.  The “fossils” will be documented as if for a museum display. Pictures and documentation will create an exhibit to be displayed on the wall around the construction site.
