You'll find nearly all your Thanksgiving ingredients brought to you by local family farms: sustainably-raised meats and poultry, gourmet cheeses, wild-caught salmon, ciders, baked goods, heirloom potatoes, all kinds of root vegetables (including carrots, parsnips, turnips, rutabagas, celeriac, onions, etc.), braising greens, Brussels sprouts, pumpkins, heirloom squashes, all kinds of apples & pears and other seasonal produce.
The first "Thanksgiving" feast featured, of course, only what was local and available at the time (deer, corn, shellfish, and roasted meat - the majority of it provided by the Native Americans). We encourage you to celebrate the delicious LOCAL offerings from Pacific Northwest farms - and give thanks to our hard-working farmers for providing us all with delicious and nutritious food to eat!
Potlucks and parties: don't have time to make something? At the farmers markets, you can get a great piece of gourmet cheese from one of our cheese makers, and a loaf of artisan bread from one of our market bakers. Or bring an assortment of fresh apples, Asian pears and pluots for a beautiful winter fruit bowl. Or grab some wine or cider and some preserves or confections to bring to your hosts.
