NFM is currently hiring: Media Planner/Digital Marketing Specialist Wanted for Short Term Contract

Summary

The Neighborhood Farmers Markets (NFM) is a nonprofit organization with a mission to support Washington farmers through managing vibrant and successful Farmers Markets. Currently operating in 7 neighborhoods in Seattle, we’re a small nonprofit organization with a big heart and an active community. Help us expand our reach during peak harvest and further spread the bounty of our Washington state farmers.

We’re seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized, analytically charged, intellectually curious, creative individual who is passionate about all things digital media and local food. This role will design and implement digital strategies during a 3 month part-time contract period that will have lasting effects for a small nonprofit organization.

You

  • Have experience with data analytics and all aspect of digital media.
  • Have a good eye for design as well as concrete digital editing skills.  (InDesign skills preferred.)
  • Experience with various digital platforms’ reporting functionality and a track record at using that functionality to optimize reach.
  • Experience with hashtag strategies, consumer profiles, digital connections and pulsing strategies.
  • Experience with social listening tools, social media influencer engagement, and native versus paid content.
  • Enjoy working for small clients to bring their marketing plans to the next level.
  • Passionate about local food and farming and can translate those stories into increased market foot traffic, brand awareness, and customer sales.
  • Can plan and execute short term tactics and long-term strategies that will have lasting benefits for our organization.
  • Knowledge of simple video editing and best practices a plus.

 

The Project

  • Around 15 hours per week of active content creation and planning during a staff hiatus, mid-June through mid-September.
  • Evaluate, analyze, communicate, train, and implement digital marketing campaigns on all platforms. (Primarily the web, MailChimp, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter)
  • Build on brand foundation to create more cohesive brand strategies as well as implementation and execution process.
  • Other marketing tasks including print media and market-site activations.
  • Based on data gathered and project experience, create a long-term strategy for all platforms that can be followed by organizational staff after the end of the contract. Provide training to implement best practices and recommendations.
  • Starts immediately.
  • Grant funding allows for some initial ad buys and systems upgrades.
